Top 3 lip products of 2013!

Hello lovelies! So after having a long and hard think and a rummage through my ever growing lip product hoard, i've managed to narrow down to my top 3 lip products of 2013 for you all! These arn't in any order of which I love most because well that would just be a whole other thinking process.

1 - So first up is the newest addition to my collection and its Topshops lipstick in Beatnik, this gorgeous lipstick will set you back £8 but it is so worth it in my opinion. If you're looking for a 'my lips but better' shade then this is definitely it! Topshop describes it as a 'dirty pink' and that's all it is really, perfect to chuck on and in your bag when you do want to wear lipstick but you don't want anything to in your face.

2 - Next up is my favorite Autumn shade which comes in the form of Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Jilted. This is a beautiful fuchsia/purple shade (as you can tell i'm just the best at describing things) and it makes your teeth look super duper white! This comes in at £15 which sounds pricey but for something so lovely you can't really go wrong. It isn't a super opaque lipstick, more sheer but it can be built up to something more.

3- And last but not least on my list is the very popular Apocalips in Big Bang. These lip products are incredibly pigmented and can be built and built to be an amazingly strong lip lacquer but they can also be used for a subtle wash of color if applied really lightly. I have tried quite a few liquid lipsticks but this is by far my favorite! They come in at an amazingly affordable £6.49.

I hope you enjoyed that quick post about my faves of 2013, i've got lot's of blog posts planned for 2014 so stay tuned!

Lots of love

Autumn MAC lipstick want list!

They say a girl can never have too many lipsticks right? Which is exactly why I feel it is perfectly acceptable to be lusting after these fabulous shades from MAC which I think would be absolutely perfect for these colder months but could do a little damage to the poor old bank account, but anywho!

L - R:

Morange - I've had my eye on this lipstick for well over a year now so I thought it only fair that I put it at the top of my list. It's an incredible true orange color (only for the brave!) and it's a part of the amplified creme family, it just screams out fun with a pinch of sass!

Flat Out Fabulous - This lipstick is a beautiful cool toned fuchsia/plum. Being blonde, I love the way bright fuchsias look with my locks so it only seems right that I should own this one as well right? I also love a matte lip so the fact that this is part of the retro matte collection just makes me want it more.

Hang Up - After hearing so many bloggers going crazy over Rebel, I saw this color and was really intrigued as to whether it was similar. I love a creme sheen and I love a good dark berry red/purple, so this is perfect really.

Hue - This is a cult classic and I'm sure you've all heard it mentioned at least once in the blogging world! Everyone needs a lovely nude lipstick for those days that you can't really be bothered and after hearing so many things about this particular one, i've got high expectations!

I hope this has given you some ideas as to what colors you'd like to rock this Autumn and i'd love to hear some more recommendations!

Outfit and Make Up of the night!

Hello everyone! Sorry that I haven't posted in forever, i've just got back from my holiday to Turkey and i've also been working alot at my new job (which i'm loving!).

I thought i'd kick start my posts again with an outfit of the night, so here we go! On Saturday night I went to my aunties 50th birthday party and as i'd just got back off holiday, all I wanted to do was show my tan off so I opted for this bodycon skirt and cami combo, teamed with a simple pair of suede peep toe wedges and gold accessories.

Being a plus size girl I thought i'd never feel brave enough to work with bodycon but I just thought 'who cares' and chucked it on anyway and believe it or not, I felt fabulous and got so many compliments!

Cami - ASOS - £14
Skirt - Primark - £5
Shoes - New Look - Old Season
I wasn't going to but I thought i'd share what make up look I opted for aswell whilst I was writing this, I wasn't going to include it as I didn't really get any clear pictures but oh well what can you do!
Necklace - Primark - £3
Cami - Asos - Show Above

So for the base i'm wearing Revlon Colorstay foundation in the shade 320 True Beige, i've then got Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade Medium 3 under my eyes and on any blemishes that I had on that night (which was alot). After that was all blended I started to contour with the Sleek Contour Kit in the shade light, which I absolutely love! Then moving onto eyes I grabbed my Urban Decay Primer Potion and applied it all over my eyelids, then with my trusty Naked 1 palette I applied Half Baked all over my lids and then I applied Darkhorse into my crease and my outer V just to create abit of definition and then I just blended it all out! Now it was time for mascara so I got my trusty Rimmel Volume Flash Scandeleyes and got straight to work. All that was left now was my brows and my lips so with brows I went with my usual routine and just brushed through them with my most recent purchase which is Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in the shade Medium Brown. Lastly for my most favorite part, lips! As I had a bright orange skirt on I thought a bright lipstick might be abit to out there for the occasion so I went with a Beauty UK lipstick in the shade In The Buff and that was that!

Thank you for reading, i'd love to hear your comments xxx

Rimmel Lasting Finish - 1000 Kisses Review!

Hello again! Sorry that it's been quite a while since my last post but here I am again with another review and yep you guessed correct, it's another lip product!

So it all started when I was browsing the Rimmel stand in Superdrug and I spotted this beauty of a lip stain and I just knew that I had to have it, I was most drawn to the color 'Timeless Tango' which is a beautiful pinky color which is subtle enough for everyday wear but would also look fabulous on a night out. I generally used to steer away from lip stains as all of the other ones that i'd tried in the past had tended to dry out my lips like crazy, but the clever thing about this particular one is that it comes with an attached balm which gives the stain an almost glossy finish. At a retail price of £5.99 you can't really go wrong and I look forward to trying the other 9 shades!

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick Shade 20!

Hi ladies (and gents of course). As you don't really know me that well I thought i'd just let you in on a little secret of mine, i'm absolutely obsessed with lipstick and any chance I get to try out a new one I will! So of course after hearing so much about the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel, I couldn't help but go into Superdrug and swatch almost every color but unfortunately as much as I wanted to it would be silly to buy every shade in one shopping trip so I narrowed it down to my favorite which as the title suggests was shade 20. This color caught my eye automatically, am I the only one that is just drawn to everything pink?

I can honestly say this was the best £5.49 that i've ever spent! It has a beautiful almost matte like finish and it isn't drying at all, it's super pigmented so you don't need a lot, meaning it'll last you ages. It's also blue toned meaning it makes your teeth look extra white, who can say no to whiter teeth?

This lipstick is extra bright but so wearable - day and night! Even if you don't tend to reach for the brighter shades I personally think that it would look fabulous on everyone. I can't wait to try more shades!

Lots of love
Alex
